* New Year * 2015

For this new year, my model was.

The Year Doesn’t Change, you have to change.  Nothing will change in your life if you don’t decide for yourself to change. You can’t expect January 1st to come and go and your life to change dramatically from day to night just because it’s a new year. If you don’t get up and do something about your life everything will remain the same. And if you have confidence and believe that God is with you at all times, he is there to help you, to give you strength, to guide you through it all. To help you daily. Slowly. Never be scared of what others can do to us.

We can confidently say, ” The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me? Hebrews 13:6

Yes, I have to lose 40 pounds – let me sit around and wait for January 1st of 2016 maybe I’ll be skinny. yeah ok. of course not. I have to work hard to achieve that goal. If I sit around by that time, I’ll be needing to lose 400 lbs. but if I add to my mind that God start great work in my life and his plan is to finish it, He will.

I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Don’t let yourself get so into all these resolution promises and forget your life, and your family, and live your happiness. Believe all you can do.

I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Yes, make plans, making plans and goals for your life is essential, you need them. Otherwise, you will be confused and disorganized, a complete mess.  I love to be organized and clean and have everything in place. That’s just how I am, too bad it doesn’t always work that way. LOL. Don’t let the negativity in life ever bring you down. Always try to smile and be happy. surround yourself with people that will make you smile.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

The people that make you upset or the ones that are around you are talking about others, don’t deserve your friendship, most likely they are doing the same behind your back. If you want to live a good life and have a fantastic year, make and surround, you’re self with people you truly love.

Make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace. Colossians 4: 5-6

Pray for your Family and friends and Have a Wonderful New Year 🙂

God Bless!!!!

{ PTSD } A Spouse’s Perspective How to Survive in A World of #PTSD _ By Erica David

PTS D A Spouse’s Perspective How to Survive in A World of PTSD
By Erica David
Published by West Bow Press

Has PTSD invaded your world?

Are you always walking on eggshells? Feel like nothing you do is right? Are you the victim of physical, emotional, or verbal abuse? Are you in a relationship with someone who suffers from PTSD? Then this book is a must-read for you. There is hope!

What is PTSD? It’s the aftermath of a traumatic event that happens during a person’s life no matter their age. The effect PTSD has on a family is very complicated why not say it’s very sad. I believe it affects everyone not only the person that has the PTSD but the spouse, their children, and anyone else that is around that person.

In this book, the author tells her story, about her family, and how her husband came home from war and was a different man. After all that must have happened there, he had some difficult issues that took her some time to understand because he wouldn’t talk about it, like most people with PTSD. Him being like that made her depressed, and a secondary PTSD from her marriage. Not only that but she also suffered some childhood trauma that also caused her to have PTSD.  So, the book goes on to explain what PTSD is – It explains in detail the traumatic event that happens during her life. Even though the cause of PTSD can be when you’re a child you can still suffer as an adult. Some people never realize the impact that the event has on them until they start counseling sessions. When the therapist asks about the event, they have to recall all the traumatic events back. For some sleep is unpleasant, and a lot of people have panic attacks. In every chapter of the book, she gives you an answer and teaches you how to deal with some key points.  I guess I expected a little more I don’t know if it’s because I suffer from PTSD and wanted more details for myself and she’s more on the ” Veteran Spouse ” side of the story. But overall, I liked her book, and I would recommend it.

There is a quote in the book that I related to it, and I would like to quote it.

Why does life have to hurt so bad? I am tired of the pain that is deep inside that I think I have learned to cope with only to have it mutate and return again. The people I hold dear don’t truly understand how I feel. They can’t. No one knows what I feel inside but me. The loneliness, the despair, the lack of accomplishment, the low self-esteem. if you have been successful there is no way you can understand my pain of rejection. Knowing that I am capable, but no one will give me a chance. One look at my resume says it all.
For 20 years, I devoted myself to my husband and my kids. Now I feel like I have nothing. Nothing but a persistent pain that keeps me from moving forward. But I don’t have anything to move forward to. Somewhere I lost myself, and I don’t know how to relate to this person that I have become. One minute I am fine and the next minute I am a bucket of tears. The seemingly happy moments are only a masquerade to cover the pain.
I keep treading water trying to stay afloat. But I am slowly sinking. Not able to decide what is best for me. Not wanting to make the wrong decision. I am indecisive. Wish I could live both lives to see which one I like better. Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way. You live with the choices you make. Good or bad.  I am someone who can be lonely in a crowded room. I sit quietly listening, thinking, but never contributing to the conversation. After all, what I have to say probably isn’t important or eventually, someone else will say what I was thinking. So why bother. Just stay in my own world. Nobody notices anyway.
What is peace? Is peace ever possible? I only wish I knew. I thought of suicide, but I don’t want to leave that scar on my children’s hearts for the remainder of their lives. I can’t even die in peace. Just please take the pain away. Let me find PEACE.

That is a killer quote/poem she wrote there it was so deep I was left speechless. To me, it was so me beside the suicide part. Having PTSD Sucks and although some people might think there’s a cure for it, I believe there isn’t. Unless you’ve ” Suffered from it ” don’t judge. That’s what I have to say 🙂

The reason why I say that is because You Might be able to FORGIVE but forgetting the past is something completely different and difficult to do trust me … Have a Blessed Day!!!!

Naked Shower :o #challenge

Or should I say Public Bath??? Hahahahahah

imageYes I know it’s for a great cause but if you ask me.  Would I dump a bucket of ice water on my head?

I would say no.. Now I have to be honest did I let my kids do it? Yes

My kids are 14, 15 and 16 years old they got challenged by a friend and family and they wanted to do it so they did it.. But I was talking their ears off.

To me the point is not dumping a bucket of ice water on your head and not making a donation. The point of the challenge is to get people to “Donate”

imageimage

Now this challenge like every other that goes around the internet starts right and ends up being stupid because people take it out of control. #icebucketchallenge was for people to do the challenge and make a donation. Hey if you can’t donate $100 donate $5 I’m sure if 10000 people donate $5 they will have a better outcome than 10000 people just waisting water on their heads.

Again this is just my opinion. I’m sure they had great outcome from the challenge people making some generous donations but to all those people just dumping water on their heads to be stupid it’s ridiculous.

Yes we do laugh at some of the videos we see And get amused but I have also seen some videos of people being seriously hurt and it’s not going to be long we will hear of people dying from doing this. I would think twice before you go out there and do something stupid.

according to the ALS organization site ALSA.org

ALS is responsible for nearly two deaths per hundred thousand population annually.
Approximately 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year.

Americans may have the disease at any given time.
About twenty percent of people with ALS live five years or more and up to ten percent will survive more than ten years and five percent will live 20 years. There are people in whom ALS has stopped progressing and a small number of people in whom the symptoms of ALS reversed.
ALS can strike anyone.

Getting Dressed with @Nordstrom #fashion

This awesome looking dress is from Nordstrom and When they had them for sale the price was around $200-210 I actually bought it for a great deal. I got mine for only $79 and it was perfect. It fit just right and it made me feel so pretty 🙂 I was in love with it. I used it to a friends wedding. The only problem I had with it was at the breast it was too big and at last minute I had to improvise and tie the back with something so my boobs wouldn’t hang out lol. A lot of the people I know when I say I got my dress at Nordstrom they usually say

well I can’t afford anything there.

Well if you look for it they do have great deals and some awesome things going out of stock and big savings. So what if you will be the last one to use it for that season at least I had on a beautiful dress for a wedding that people thought I paid a lot of money for it and it only cost me $79 lol. It’s worth it. You all need to check out the sale and all the good deals at Nordstrom 😜
